  • There are three campaigns, consisting of missions
  • Campaigns and missions order is linear, you have to finish campaign one to play campaign two and so on
  • There is turn-based (organization/management) and a real-time (battle) gameplay

Mission goals and mission map

  • At the beginning of each mission the player receives a list of tasks to complete

Turn-based play

  • One turn equals one season (spring, summer, autumn, winter)
  • You can save at any point of time while in the turn-based gameplay
  • Auto-save occurs when ending a turn

Interface

  • Turns (seasons) are ended by clicking the "End turn" button

Armies

  • There are 14 types of military units
  • The player can own up to three armies
  • An army must consist of at least 100 and no more than 3200 soldiers
  • Armies are represented on the map as a unit
  • Double-left-clicking on such a knight opens the army window
Army window
  • The army windows contains the following information:
    • Quality (type) and quantity (amount) of the units
    • How the units are equipped (sum of all equipment used by this army)
    • The army's morale
    • Whether or not the army has moved in this turn
Moving armies
  • The amount of steps an army can make per turn depends on it's morale level
    • Less than 50% morale allows one step
    • 50% to 75% morale enables to make two steps
    • More than 75% morale permits three steps
  • An army is selected by left-clicking it's representation on the map
  • Selecting an army highlights nodes that can be visited in the same turn, as well as nodes that could be visited, if they weren't blocked by enemies (in different colors)
  • Selected armies can be moved by clicking on nodes
  • Armies are deselected by left-clicking empty space
  • Armies are moved to nodes by right-clicking the desired destination node (must be reachable)
    • If right-clicked node is unreachable, nothing happens
    • If right-clicked node is blocked by an enemy, the army moves as close as it can to the enemy and the player is asked to decide whether or not to fight
  • Units can move again, if they didn't use all of their available steps
  • Nodes are highlighted when the mouse cursor hovers above them and a unit is selected
