There isn't too much happening in FreeGameDev.net landia, but you might have noticed that our monthership f-hub.org now has a Peertube instance. Our friends from onFOSS.org already started using it, and please let me know if you are interested in an account for your FOSS game project.
We also have a way to donate to the project now. Just head over to https://contribute.f-hub.org/ and select freegamedev.net as the purpose. Or head over to the F-hub.org page on LiberaPay to donate there.
For next year we plan to retire our old Wordpress based planet and switch over to the same system used here: https://fossgaming.codeberg.page/
The main blocker is sadly still that it doesn't create its own RSS feeds, but maybe we can find a way around that problem.
We are also experimenting with a new, much nicer IRC webclient that will likely replace our current KiwiIRC based one. You an already try it here: https://chat.f-hub.org
There are also some exciting IRCv3 improvements soon coming to the XMPP chat gateway (Biboumi) and we are also working on various improvements for the Matterbridge (currently used for Discord and legacy IRC bridging) via a new community maintained fork.
