Good luck with the jam! Nice art and atmosphere, having just a malfunctioning touchpad, this is quite difficult for me!

Actually made it just for the fun of it, rather than a jam.

Thanks for playing. I find with an proper mouse it is actually easier to dodge than with the keyboard, but yes a touchpad would be harder.

Excerpt from the help screen I am adding in the next version:

"Control character with the mouse or keyboard (WASD or arrow keys, drag mouse). Control key/left click fires, space/right click jumps, alt/middle click crouches. Walk over to pick up items. Shotgun reloads automatically. Home [changing to Backspace] key resets the game. Esc quits. Hidden keys abound. The Count appears after five minutes."

Just noticed an amusing exploit. If you move off the screen you can escape the reach of all the monsters and just wait out the arrival of the Count.

The 1.5.0 update adds a splash screen, main menu, help screen, various options, multiple new enemies and a beast mode that activates if the player gets a kill streak!

A poster on the Gambas.One forums noticed a fatal bug when opening the options menu and suggested I make the menu colours easier to read for colour blind people (ironically including myself), so I have uploaded a 1.5.1 update.
