Initially I made the characters for another project called KO & the Curse of Greyface, and improved them a little for LucKey Park. Indeed their proportions are intentional. To me it makes sense because you'd want to be able to make out the items they are holding while being in bird's-eye view, like milkshakes and hamburgers.
