Wesnoth, SuperTuxKart, 0AD or OpenMW are widely known. Being a bit ill these days I went through the FSF game directory, searching for FLOSS games that I'm unaware of. Maybe this can become a collection-thread for more obscure, second line projects?

Cataclysm DDA is awesome game (well you maybe need a month to learn to play but it is great).

I am one of coordinator of spanish translation and I love this game.

mdtrooper I've gotten killed in Cataclysm DDA a few times. I looked up how to survive afterward. It had lots of "Then you go to the city/town?" followed by "No you will die."
