Peter This is question about playing Battle for Wesnoth: Does anyone know how to "jump" to a later scenario? I don't want to replay the tutorial and the first levels.
ffaf Mhhh if I recall correctly the tutorial nothing more than a campaign. Can't you just not play it? Or do you want to skip some maps in the tutorial? Long live the magical quintain!
Modanung In version 1.16.2 the tutorial is indeed a campaign called Battle Training. There is no unlocking of campaigns; they can all be played in any order you like from the start. By default they're sorted by difficulty, putting the tutorial at the top.
Peter But I get no list of other campaigns, when I click on "Campaigns". I only can click on "Battle Training"! I just now tried it again. (EDIT: version 1.16.2, here, too. I am using Ubuntu GNU/Linux)
Modanung I get the same result when installing wesnoth-core instead of wesnoth; no campaigns except Battle Training. Looks like you didn't fully install it.
Peter Yeah, you are right, that was the reason. I grabbed the newest (1.16.11) source code and built it. It now works! Building was done with one simple command ("scons").
