Although it's not a new project (going back to 2015) it may be new to some here. Of all LucKey Productions it certainly is most refined, though still without settings menu; after the first run there's a config file that can be modified.
heXon is a twin-stick-shooter set inside a hexagonal arena with wrapping edges and a physics element. Collect hearts and apples for health and weapon power-ups. If you don't have a gamepad, WASD (AZERTY-friendly) and the numpad can be used instead. To save your score, eject – by pressing Esc or both gamepad shoulders – before running out of health so your pilot is alive enough to be "uploaded".
The chaosphere can assist by instantly turning nearby pickups into power-ups or enemies into proximity mines, but will spawn enemies when nothing is caught in the blast.
The game can be played with four players locally. Bots can be added and removed by walking into the plus and minus next to the lobby exit.
Are you capable of defeating the Baphomech?
